She has since been active in the local music scene forging a performing and teaching career. She currently coaches at primary and secondary schools. Helping the students in major events like SYF and other music competitions. She also conducts private lessons for avid students that wants to polish and learn dizi in the proper manner.
She works as a freelance tutor for subjects like mathematics, science, english, mandarin etc...feel free to contact her if you're interested to take up both flute lessons & academic lessons together!
Ms. Germaine has been very patient and strict with her coaching. She does not tolerate nonsense and provides comments that really makes a big difference in my performance.
Ms. Germaine is our demon teacher. She can be so scary at times but in the end, we realize that she just wanted us to understand that it requires passion and effort to play dizi really well.
I've worked with Germaine for more than 5 years and she's really the type of musician or artist that really respects her craft. She really imparts her knowledge and skills with her students.
Ms. Ong is really nice and she really helped me to correct my bad posture and habits that i had all along before i met her. She really helped me to improve my technique.
If you are seeking a musician that will understand exactly your needs, and someone who will utilise their creative and technical skills in parity with your taste, then Germaine is perfect.
It is really great to work with her and the SYF for 2019 went really well for the dizi students because of her dedication and mentorship. Would definitely work with her again.
